INDEPENDENT STORAGE GUIDE

Furniture Storage Liverpool

Keep furniture clean, dry and protected.

Measure your largest pieces and check the route into the unit. Dismantle beds and tables where practical, label fittings and protect edges. Clean and dry furniture before storing, use breathable covers and avoid stacking heavy boxes on soft furnishings. Ask the provider about humidity and contents cover.

Measure the awkward pieces

Measure sofa width, depth and height, mattress length and wardrobe dimensions. Check doors, corridor turns and lifts at the facility as well as the unit itself.

Pack for protection

Keep fittings in labelled bags attached to dismantled furniture. Wrap glass and protect corners. Clean and fully dry appliances, and follow manufacturer instructions for draining and securing them.

Leave room to retrieve things

Store heavy stable pieces low and avoid placing heavy boxes on upholstered furniture. Keep an inventory and an aisle if you need access. Ask about humidity and contents cover.
