INDOOR ROOMS

For smaller loads and a choice of unit sizes

Check the route from your vehicle to the unit. Lifts, trolleys and covered unloading can matter more than the postcode when moving a sofa or several heavy boxes. Ask about reception hours and separate unit-access hours.

CONTAINER / DRIVE-UP

Unload close to the door

Useful for bulky belongings, tools and stock. Check the internal dimensions, door clearance, ventilation and condensation control before choosing. A 20ft container usually has a nominal 160 sq ft footprint; usable space is smaller.

COMPARE THE FULL COST

How much does self storage in Liverpool cost?

There is no single Liverpool price. Size, storage type, access and length of stay all affect it. Compare the same usable space for the same dates, including VAT, protection, padlocks and any collection costs.

Four-week billing is not a calendar month.

£160 every four weeks means 13 payments in a full 52-week year: £2,080, averaging about £173.33 per calendar month, before discounts or extras.

For Storage Time’s published 20ft offer, the first 12 weeks’ base rent is £1 + £160 + £160 = £321. Contents protection and any other charges are extra; confirm eligibility and your complete quote with the provider.

What size storage unit do I need?

Start with an item list and measurements of your largest belongings. Leave room for safe stacking and an access aisle if you will visit regularly. Our calculator gives a planning range; the provider should confirm the fit.

10ft container

About 80 sq ft nominal footprint. Check the actual internal dimensions and doorway.

20ft container

About 160 sq ft nominal footprint. Allow for awkward furniture and a walkway.

40ft container

About 320 sq ft nominal footprint. Ask about loading space and available sizes.

Questions to ask before booking

Can I access my unit at night or on Sundays?

It depends on the provider and unit. Reception hours and storage access can differ. Confirm evenings, weekends, gate entry and any extended-access fee before signing.

Are storage containers suitable for furniture?

Ask about ventilation, condensation treatment and contents cover. Pack furniture dry, protect fabrics and keep belongings off damp surfaces. An indoor room may suit your needs better; ask the provider about the items you plan to store.

Can I rent storage just for a few weeks?

Check the minimum term and notice period. An introductory discount may require a longer stay. Tell the provider your expected move-in and move-out dates before comparing quotes.

Can you arrange collection into storage?

Liverpool Man With A Van can quote separately for collection and return delivery. Confirm your item list, stairs, parking, dates and the provider’s loading arrangements. Storage rent and transport are separate services.

Does an enquiry reserve a unit?

No. An enquiry asks about prices and availability. Your chosen provider must confirm the space and you must agree their terms before it is booked.
